Rehabilitation

Our short-term sub-acute rehab provides skilled rehab services for people who have an acute or chronic illness, or are recovering from injury, accident or surgery. We have 40 sub-acute beds and our 1:1 rehab services are offered daily, including weekends and holidays.

Our experienced team of rehab professionals treat people with a wide variety of needs including neurological illness or injury (strokes, TIAs, TBI, Parkinson’s Disease, MS, ALS), cardiovascular and cardio-pulmonary disease (MI, COPD, CAD, CHF, cardio-thoracic surgeries), joint replacements and orthopedic injuries, amputations, diabetes, pneumonia, recovery from surgeries, and other types of debility.

We provide comprehensive occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech language pathology services. Our rehab team works together to provide patients with individualized services needed to achieve the most optimal function in all aspects of self-care.

Sub-acute rehab might include:

  • Sit and stand balance activities
  • Ambulation and transfer training
  • Activities of daily living
  • Self-care management training
  • Pain management (including use of modalities when appropriate)
  • Cognitive assessment and retraining
  • Swallowing therapy
  • Speech and language therapy
  • Tracheotomy care
  • Discharge planning
  • Community integration
  • Home evaluations
